Since Taikun was born, he has been on formula milk and later with a mix of adult's cow (Lactaid, lactose free) milk until the age of 2, around July-August of 2012. After moving to NY, it is usually a bottle of full Lactaid right after wake-up, one or two during the day, and one right before sleep at night.
It has been two days since Taikun doesn't eat any milk as a ritual before sleep each night. He was offered the bottle, but denied it. He then slept.
Is this is the sign of stop milk, at the age of 2 year and 5 months? Maybe.
Added Jan 30, 2013: Now in these two days Taikun still follow one bottle before bed in the night, and one bottle after wake-up in the morning. So I guess this habit will continue a while, just phase out.
Added April 11, 2013: this week, Taikun officially says goodby to the bottle of milk before bedtime. Part of the reason is for oral hygiene since having a milk before sleep encourages tooth decay because there is no way to wake him up to brush them. Finally---this is a major milestone for his development.
Added April 19, 2013: Milk crave flashback: these couple of nights, Taikun meltdowns without milk bottle after teethbrushing, bath, Dogtato cartoon series. One hour is needed after hitting the sack---he cries, twists and turn on bed, needing either T or me to beside of him. Say last night I served as be bedside angle from 10pm, and he asked me to tell "hogobo" story. I made up one, using whatever scenarios he has in life to pad the story. After turns and turns, it already passed 11pm when he started to snooze.
