Last day with early learning center

Today is a sunny, and also the last day for Taikun’s school. Today’s agenda is to play water—so when arriving all kids are reclothed to swimming suits. Taikun was put on swimming pants and applied sunscreen lotion. He looks so cute!
Later EI teacher F came to work with Taikun. This is the last time working with him. Hope they will have a great session today. Afterwards I stopped at Walmart shopping some items A asked and stopped at the bank for needed documents for future apartment.

In the afternoon, A and I picked up Taikun. T is still not feeling well and unable to join us. He was at the playground when we arrived. As usual, when noticing our arrival, he sprinted to us, screaming, jumping, giggling!  Yes, this is my cute Taikun—who just finished his school in PA before we move.

Then we entered the building  to collect  his stuff—diapers left, swimming suits, blankets for his nap, and other clothes. We are also given a portfolio containing all teachers’ reviews of his progress. He started daycare on Jan 18 2011 (slighty more than 6 months) from infant room with Miss Kelly B. Transferred  to young  toddler room during late  summer /early fall of 2011, with teacher  Charmin S. Changed to toddler room with Alicia A. around mid March of 2012. I saw his progress from a baby lying on the crib looking around, to being able to wave goodbye to others, to dance to the music with other kids. I am so rewarded –unknowingly my eyes get wet.

We also received several gifts—a small photo album documenting his friends there, and some of his person shots. Also, a “Happy birthday certificate”—hand-written card, and a “crown”—a paper craft. Well, last night we already had his birthday party—if these items had been received earlier we should have been able to use them last night---they would have definitely made photo sessions more exciting!

Finally, photos sessions—have shooting with current toddler room teachers Anita and Tiffany. Also previous room teacher Charmin came to hug him, and had photos taken with Charmin, Tina and Jennifer.

After thanking the administration, we left the building. What a time for him—Taikun has been with these people for more than one year and six months—which is three fourths (3/4) of his life!

Yes, three fourths of the life with one place appears a lot. How about us? What is the percentage of each places I have been with so far in my life? Looking back, which place has been most significant to me?

Really need to go forward to embrace the future—no matter bright or not. Taikun, we will walk the road with you! Taikun, congratulations for finishing your first school in your life!
