Doctor visits

I know a baby can visit doctors many times before it can do this on his own. But, somehow with the feel that's my responsibility, I am still trying to record visits, at least it is done my me.

March 4 2011, Friday

Taikun's nose is running for several days. Today and last night, he is coughing badly and constantly. I brought him to Dr Barber this morning.
Taikun has a cold, Dr Barber diagnosed. No medication is needed, per Dr Barber, but if symptoms (such as breaths become heavy and
labored, worsening coughing, or yellow or green mucus/discharge, etc) persist for a week or so, we need to see him again.
Per rash problems, Barber concluded it's because of the weather/climate. He prescribed Hydrocortisone and Vaseline. For face (where rash is seen now when Johnson's baby oil is applied), he suggested to apply Hydrocortisone first, before applying baby oil. For diaper/anus areas, he suggested to use Vaseline instead. Hope this will address rash issues.

March 7 2011, Monday
Taikun coughs very badly with mucus congested in his throat and airways. Also, we are scared by his bizarre behavior in these days: During the sleep, all of a sudden for several times, he cries terribly (in an extreme agony way we never heard before) with both eyes tightly closed. We tried to pick him up to comfort him. However, much to our fear, he cannot be awakened at all even being picked up and held in our arms; he still sleeps and screams with both eyes tightly closed. His entire body curls up, very hard and stiff, and cramped. Tina said that she feels he is in great pain.

We are so scared, and see Dr Barber today. Diagnosis: night terror: The reason why Taikun was unable to react at all was, he was in deep sleep phase 3-4. No matter how hard we tried to wake him up, it was impossible since he was in deep sleep. Stiffness and curl-up were part of the phenomenon. This symptom is called sleep-walking if happening on adults. Oh, would Taikun sleep-walk after growing up?
