I like old articles. My take is that classical (music/art/deco/building) was once pop culture in that era-- it has to be popular and appreciated by many people for a long time to last, and the beauty survives the examination of generation to become classical.
Unfortunately, I also believe some of the most important invention in our era probably not gonna last long. I saw a commercial recently talking about websites. The question asked in the commercial is somewhat like: would there be top 50 websites to visit before we die? Probably not. What a silly question. Right? I soon realize how much I agree with the logic behinds: if there is not, we should not spend so much time surfing on web while we can visit the place ourselves. (Travel commercial, you probably guessed). So, website does not even survive the critics of our own, how does it gonna last forever? To me, FB and blogs are probably just like hippie-long-hair or plaid shirts will soon be deemed somewhat ridiculous. Maybe by the time Leonard grows up, we'll even refuse to admit we ever go on facebook (;P).
Since I am not a big fan of blog, what is this 14 days challenge about? Blog is just a possible venue, not something that we should clingy live for. M and I will write together for 14 days and I hope this will give some meaning for this withered blog. 14 days, some said, is enough to form a new habit. I always want to find creative things M and I can do together (I suggested scrapbook but he turned that into photo album as you can imagine). This can be a little fun exercise. After 14 days, M will go on his new post in New York. We'll start another chapter in our life, or maybe a new blog then?
